British American announced today that the 10th annual National Lee Denim day in the Bahamas was an overwhelming success, with sales of t-shirts and paraphernalia showing more increase and popularity over prior years. In addition to promoting the merits of prevention, the initiative sends a clear message of hope, healing and life after being diagnosed with cancer.
“We are extremely pleased” said Cecillia Cox, Manager, Marketing, PR & Business Development at British American Financial “This is an indication of the greater awareness in the publicy of this dreaded disease, and the fact that by and large as a community we are still our brothers keeper”.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to cancer awareness and prevention with direct contributions to the Cancer Society of the Bahamas and the Sister Sister organization. The spokespersons this year were survivors Mrs Denise Baker-Smith, Sales Manager, British American Financial and Mrs. Andrea Sweeting, President, Sister Sister Organization.
Leading this initiative for the past 10 years, British American Financial is a Bahamian owned financial institution offering Insurance, Investments and Retirement Planning services since 1920.
