The Public is hereby advised that British American Financial Limited (Formerly British American Insurance Company of The Bahamas Limited) which was acquired and fully owned by the Bahamian entity BAB Holdings Limited since 7th February 2007 IS IN NO WAY AFFILIATED OR CONNECTED WITH THE BRITISH AMERICAN INSURANCE COMPANY (BAICO) [which was recently placed under Judicial Management by the Insurance Commission of the Bahamas] or with any other Clico or CL Financial entity.
We draw reference to the September 8, 2009 press release of the Superintendent of Insurance, Mr. Lennox McCartney: “BAICO is not related, in any way, with the British American Insurance Company of The Bahamas Limited (trading as British American Financial) which operates in The Bahamas”.
We reiterate that BRITISH AMERICAN FINANCIAL HAS NO AFFLILIATION WHATSOEVER WITH BAICO OR CL FINANCIAL
