Consumer and Investor Education
Our philosophy of meeting the ever-changing needs of our clients and the Bahamian people in general, has given rise to our on-going consumer education programmes. Knowing that sound financial advice and knowledge are required to promote healthy financial planning, savings and investment, we have created many programmes including:
- BA Headstart - a programme targeting primary school children that is designed to teach and reinforce the habit of saving from an early age The Program now operates in three primary schools:
- Adelaide Primary
- Gerald Cash Primary
- Oaks Field Primary
- DREAMS - a women's investment group consisting of more than 500 members that aims to help women Develop Real Economic and Money Management Skills. This programme allows investors to pool their resources via annuities for a higher returns and educates members about savings, investment and business opportunities through high-powered quarterly seminars, newsletters and networking opportunities.
Midsummer Night School - a major annual event comprising a one night series of free money management seminars by experts on a wide range of financial topics. This event is held on the grounds of BAF Headquarters for one evening during the summer and is open to the general public
